Welcome to KENEPURRFECT KITTENS, Ragdolls so special we want them all to stay, but we also want others to share in the joy of owning a beautiful Ragdoll Kitten or cat. So if that's what you really really want, then come on in and have a look at the adorable Dams and Dad we have in our breeding programme. As the word suggests, Ragdolls are very "Laid Back" cats and because of this, they make excellent pets as they slot into family life with very little effort. They are easily house trained, not too fussy with their eating habits and love to play. They can be taught to fetch, love climbing their scratchy poles and recognize repeated phrases, like "bed time", dirt box, mouse, NO, go for a walk, etc. Generally these cats are house cats, safety first, which means walks on a harness is recommended. They do love the outdoors so secured fenced areas are best, remember Ragdolls are expensive so they should be supervised when outdoors. They also love to be with people, they love company, so if they are left at home alone all day they may well need a companion cat. Ragdolls will follow you around so are great company, they are inquisitive, highly intelligent and very trusting. They have a quiet meow, but will let you know when they want something. They have an unusual sleeping posture for cats as they completely lie on their backs sprawled out and love tummy rubs. Playful but not hurtful, not often will you see their claws come out at playtime. Ragdolls have a long smooth coat that only requires brushing on average once a week, they are lower maintenance than say Persians for example. They can live to the ripe old age of 20 years, so it's a lifetime of love and companionship you are getting when you purchase a Ragdoll. We absolutely adore our Ragdolls and find them a constant source of amusement and entertainment, we have a large Bi-Colour boy as our pet, and he has taken to the spare bedroom now as that way he gets his own Queen size bed. He is always there to greet us if we've been out and he loves it when we have guests because he just knows we are talking about him and he flops down under the dining room table seeking tummy rubs by anyone offering to do so.
Many People ask me if the kitten will get on ok with their
dog. Well Harley , 12 weeks old and Colby, the dog became best mates within
hours of being introduced to each other, and as you can see they are
inseparable now.
New kittens can be introduced to older cats by allowing them to sniff each other through a closed door, it doesn't take long before they too will become best mates. Thanks for the photos Andrea, they are so cute.
